Job Application Tracker

Where you applied, when, what happened, and what needs chasing. No account, no email, nothing sent anywhere — it lives in this browser.

Add an application

Export it now and again. Everything here is stored in this browser, which is what lets the tool work with no account and no email address. The trade-off is real: clearing your browsing data, or switching to another device, and it is gone. The CSV opens in Excel or Google Sheets and takes two seconds.

How to use it without it becoming a chore

Add the application when you send it, not later. Thirty seconds at the time beats trying to reconstruct six weeks of applications from your email.

Set a follow-up date on everything. About a week after applying. The tracker flags anything overdue at the top, and following up is the single highest-return thing in a job search that almost nobody does.

Write down who you spoke to. Names, and one line about what they said. In three weeks you will not remember which company mentioned the relocation package, and being the candidate who remembers is worth more than it sounds.

Do not delete the closed ones. A rejection at one company is frequently a different opening six months later, and the pattern across your closed applications tells you something — if twenty applications produced no screening calls, the problem is the resume, not the market.

What good looks like

Applying to fifty jobs in a weekend feels productive and rarely works. Ten applications with a tailored resume, one contact found at each company and a follow-up a week later will beat it comfortably.

If your applications are not producing screening calls, the fix is upstream of this page: the Resume Builder and the LinkedIn Profile Builder. If they produce screens but not interviews, it is Interview Prep. If you are getting interviews and no offers, that is usually fit rather than fault — keep going.

And when an offer does come, work out your number before the conversation: Salary Negotiation.
