The short version. We count visits so we know which tools are worth keeping. We do not sell or share your information, we run no advertising, and nothing here follows you to other websites. The tools keep everything in your own browser — what you type into the resume builder still never reaches us.
The Skills Translator, Resume Builder, Interview Prep and Pay Calculator run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter — your military code, your work history, your pay figures — is saved in that browser’s own storage so you can come back to it. It is never transmitted to us and we cannot see it.
Clearing your browser data removes it. Using a different device means starting again, which is the trade-off for not asking you to create an account.
If you submit the contact form, the employer list or the partner application, we receive what you typed: your name, email address, and whatever else that particular form asks for. We also record the time and the IP address the submission came from, which is used to catch automated spam and nothing else.
That information is stored on our own server and emailed to us. It is used to reply to you and to run the program you applied for. We do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
We use StatCounter to count visits. It records the pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the browser and device, and the site you arrived from. It sets a cookie so that a returning visit is not counted twice.
We use it for one thing: knowing which tools people actually open, so effort goes into those rather than into the ones nobody uses. It is not used for advertising, we do not share it, and it is not connected to anything you type into a form.
It does not see what you enter into the tools. The Skills Translator, Resume Builder, LinkedIn Profile Builder, Pay Calculator, Salary Negotiation page and Application Tracker all run in your browser. Your military code, your work history, your pay figures and your applications stay in that browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Visitor statistics record that a page was opened, not what was typed into it.
If you would rather not be counted, StatCounter offers a visitor opt-out, and most browsers have a tracker-blocking setting that also prevents it.
The only other cookie is the partner program. If you arrive through a partner’s referral link, our partner platform sets a cookie so that the partner is credited if you later sign up as an employer. That cookie identifies the referral, not you personally, and it expires after a set period.
We run no advertising cookies, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
Applying to a job takes you somewhere else, and their privacy practices are their own.
This site is for adults looking for work and for the organizations and employers who support them. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If you have sent us something through a form and want it removed, ask and we will remove it. There is no account to close and no archive to negotiate with — write to us and it is done.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. When this page first went up it said the site ran no analytics at all; visitor statistics were added shortly afterwards and this page was rewritten the same day, which is the standard we intend to hold. We are not going to quietly start selling data and rewrite this page — if the practices change materially, we will say so plainly.
